Miss Chelsea began dancing at the age of three. Over the years she has studied ballet, modern, jazz and tap. Chelsea trained at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, and was accepted into their winter program. Although she decided to return home to continue her studies, she received extensive training with numerous choreographers and dancers from across Canada, attending master classes with many professional dancers including Evelyn Hart.

Chelsea continued her training locally at the Fraser Valley Academy of Dance, while attending The Langley Fine Art School (LFAS).  She graduated from the LFAS with a major in Dance. She was a teacher for the LFAS after school dance program. Her training allowed her to compete and win numerous awards. She danced in community productions at LFAS, and was a member of The Fraser Valley Academy of Dance Performing Group.

Chelsea completed her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) exams up to and including Advanced Foundation with honours. She has also completed, with honours, the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Intermediate Level, studying under the examiner, Miss Sonia Draper. She also participated in the Fraser Valley Academy of Dance Teacher training program.

Chelsea has been teaching dance for over ten years. She volunteers her time at the Mission Children’s Festival, Twilight Music Festivals, and Mission Folk Festival. Chelsea has training in drawing, pottery, and classical guitar. She has instructed children’s pottery courses, and worked as a Music Kid’s Instructor. She also received certificates up to and including Bronze Medallion and Senior Resuscitation, as well as an Open Water Diving Licence.

She is currently completing a Bachelor in science with a major in biology and a minor in physic. She plans on pursuing a MA in science.
