Miss Penelope has been teaching and performing Tap, Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Zumba, Pilates/Body Conditioning and Musical Theatre in Europe, New Zealand and Canada since 1999. 

From 1992, she trained at the esteemed Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts in Kent, England, and later at The Centre Performing Arts College in London.  Upon graduating, she held numerous teaching positions at dance schools in England.  From 2001 to 2006, she owned the Penny B Academy in England, a school of over 200 students.  She later managed Danceworks, a school of over 400 students in New Zealand.

Miss Penelope is a Recognised Teacher of the RAD, and has a Full International Teaching Membership of the ISTD.  She has entered many students into examinations, shows and competitions with great success.  Many of her former students have gone on to various London dance colleges as well as West End shows and renowned dance companies.

Miss Penelope also holds her Zumba Basic Level 1 Certificate, and enjoys teaching pilates, zumba, and body conditioning classes, and has recently added acro and hip hop to her repertoire of styles.  She has received numerous APL Certificates in Education, including Lifespan Development and Learning in Dance; Anatomy; Promotion of Health and Safety; Teaching Methodology and Business Studies.

As a dancer, Miss Penelope performed in England and throughout Europe in musical theatre, contemporary and cabaret pieces. She was choreographer, singer and dancer for a dance company and worked with the Belinda King Productions, touring in Greece, Italy and Slovenia,  She also performed with Showstoppers Cruises. 

Her passion for musical theatre was expressed in performances of Copacabana, Annie, Oliver, Bugsy Malone, and West Side Story, among others.  She also choreographed for many musical theatre productions including Oliver, Annie, My Fair Lady and Footloose, and the Halifax Pantomime with Hammond Productions.
